Your private lesson will last approximately 50 minutes. You will be asked to do very simple activities, such as sitting, standing or walking, so you can notice and your teacher can observe your habitual patterns of movement. Then you will begin the process of learning how to change undesirable habits into more healthful ways of moving. The teacher will put hands on you, but only for gentle guidance to assist your learning process. Your lesson may include some time lying down on a comfortable table.
Please wear or bring loose, comfortable clothing that is easy to move in and does not restrict your joints. Please do not plan to wear jeans during your lesson, since the heavy material may restrict the movement of your hip joints and knees. You will be asked to remove your shoes, but you may keep your socks on during the lesson.
